Which intelligent person wouldn’t want to broaden their knowledge or imagination It's ok. The people ridiculing him probably can't read so he is free to write bad things about his bullies. They are jealous obviously a nice lad the girls will love you as you get older. These kids who bully him because of books are so stupid, this is one of the reasons. Bullies are low intellect narcissists who find joy in upsetting others because their lives are empty just like their heads.
